In recognition of the successful relationship we share with the MLR and the professionalism of their Sprint Series, CAT Driver Training is offering our clients the opportunity to explore this fun and competitive driving challenge in 2010. Using our Caterham 7 Current Road Sports A Race Car, your arrive-drive package will provide you with everything you need on the day. We will take care of vehicle transportation to and from events, vehicle preparation and support and be with you at the race itself to ensure that you have the highest possible level of support, including instruction, so you can just focus on the racing itself.

Using our Caterham 7 enables you to enjoy the excitement of being a driver in a competitor event without having to worry about wear and tear implications to your own vehicle. Tyres, brake wear and other extras all contribute to the cost of competing. Driving our Caterham 7 allows you to concentrate on the race at hand!

What is a Sprint?

Collectively known as Speed Events, Sprints and Hill climbs are essentially the same thing. The aim is to cover a measured tarmac course against the clock. Cars start separately but there can be a number of cars on the course at the same time, although there will obviously be a safe distance between each car.

Courses use a standing start and a flying finish. The timing for most events will be to 1/100th of a second and is always activated by a timing strut on the front of the car breaking a light beam at the start and the finish lines. The course will be fully marshalled. Venues vary from airfields to race circuits and closed roads on private estates.

It's probably the most affordable form of competition and a great way to make the step from track days to competition.
