Andy Hornsby, the GTROC Northern Trackday Rep, attended the Cornering Masterclass with his fellow members in August 2007. Having taken the Performance Driver 'Track' Day in July, the group were keen to continue their training as quickly as possible, building their knowledge and techniques. I want to give massive congratulations to Colin for his appointment to Evo, I have read this magazine since issue 5 and have not missed even one since then (I even had a letter published a few years ago), I've met most of the staff in one way or another and It is one of my motoring "bibles" so for me there are few accolades higher than being asked to give your opinions for publication, well done, a true marker of your stature as a company within the industry.

Although respected and perhaps viewed even affectionately by many of us who had owned one, it became perhaps too familiar in its latter years and Ford lowered the axe on the household name. The Focus has been doing an excellent job since its inception in 1998 living on the top step of the podium as Fords mid segment figure head. The Ride and Handling Engineers excelled themselves with a clever multi-link rear suspension configuration married to the simple but effective McPherson strut at the front.
